According to lexpress.fr, the new Chanel scent, meant to join the brand's regular lineup alongside Chance, Coco, etc., has been finally announced on Friday. The scent, which was rumored to have been planned to be called Rêve, is in fact named Rêves Exotiques. Authored by Jacques Polge and Chris Sheldrake, it is described as a sultry floral-oriental fragrance with notes of mandarin, pimento, rose, carnation, coriander, chocolate, sandalwood, incense and patchouli. Well, dear, I was CAUGHT! Though I was a little doubtful about the name which sounded so un-Chanel (ie: needs to be pronounceable and meaningful in the maximum possible languages).
ReplyDeleteStupid Blogger (not you, the software!). Denyse is Carmencanada, bijne sûr.
ReplyDeleteI fell for it---hook, line, and sinker! LOL! Thanks for a very early morning chuckle. :-)
ReplyDeleteI fell for it too! And it reminds me-- Have you tried the PG called (something like) Crime Exotique? This has been on my mind since I saw it in N's store on Ebay. . . . I NEED to know!
ReplyDeleteFor shame! Of course it's April Fool's day!!! Ugh.
ReplyDeleteDenyse,
ReplyDeleteI had to think fast, as I completely forgot about 04/01 and only remembered like an hour before midnight. Didn't want to completely abandon the Reve thing. :-)
About the pronounceable in the maximum languages, gosh, I wish all companies did that. Not naming names, but there are some that go a little overboard :-)
M,
ReplyDeleteThank you for falling for it. I didn't think anyone actually would :-) I am pleased as punch. :-)
J,
ReplyDeleteI mailed you about it just now. The scent is great and top secret. This message will self-destruct in 10 seconds.
Kelley,
ReplyDeleteHappy 1st! :-)
Ooohohohoh, Happy April's Fool Day to you to Colombina! Thanks for the smile :-)
ReplyDeleteP,
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am glad I made you smile! :-)
C, did you actually make up the note list? It sounds good! Don't tell me its the notes for that god-awful Chance or something... I'm kind if disappointed now. Good one, though!
ReplyDeleteErin,
ReplyDeleteI borrowed most of the notes from Coco and added chocolate :-)
EVIL!!!
ReplyDeleteHar har har!
ReplyDeleteHey, well that makes me feel better - I love Coco, and now I see why!
ReplyDeleteDuh ... I was caught, too. Although I did read the notes and think, wow, that sounds a lot like Coco, which I love -- but (as Carmencanada said) I did think, dang, another fragrance name I can't pronounce!
ReplyDeleteMarch,
ReplyDeleteHappy April 1! :-)
LOL!!! Good one.
ReplyDeleteThank you, R! :-)
