Welcome to the crisp side of life... I like your re-styled blog . And then: Why not review the same perfume a second time, might be interesting because if it is a good perfume you will rediscover it and come with an exciting review anyhow...greetings
ReplyDeleteMarinochka, s dnem rozhdeniya! I wish you truckloads of every perfume your heart lusts for :)
ReplyDeleteWell, at about this time next year I'll have started unravelling the nicer side of my 30s too, so I guess I can sympathize with you :)
I love your book lineup, may I add A Hundred Years of Solitude by Mrquez and The Magus by J. Fowles.
My 4 favourite perfumes of the moment are:
Eau des Merveilles
L'Eau d'Hiver
Dior Homme
L'Instant pour Homme
Have a wonderful time today, dear!
(((happy birthday)))
Marina My Darling ...
ReplyDeleteDon't sulk TOO much. Even at 30, you still make me a cradle-robber ... and you are sexier, more beautiful and more wonderful than ever!
I love you!
Paul
Happy super skanky fragrant birthday!!!! And w/ a husband who makes comments like that, how can you keep a good sulk going? :-) Love the new template!
ReplyDeleteHappy, happy birthday!!!! May all your spritzes be good ones! And don't worry: the 30s are great! (from one who KNOWS:)
ReplyDeleteС днем рождения
(Babelfish tells me this means "Happy Birthday"; I hope for once they are right and it doesn't translate to something like "sloppy wet socks":)
Gad, when you babies get all weepy about the big 3-0 it's soooooo ... adorable! ;-) FWIW my 30s only got better, and my 40s are excellent. No, not pulling your leg.
ReplyDeletePS Sloppy wet socks to you as well!!! I am looking forward to your review of Dzongkha!
Happy Birthday! I Hope you got a big bottle of something very nice..
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to my friend and fellowe perfume blogger! Love the new layout! Seriously, quit sulking, woman. Just think of all perfume knowledge and perfume quantities you have now that you didn't have 10 years ago. Enjoy your day, sweetie! Ne veshai nos!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Marina! I love the new look. Very clean.
ReplyDeleteIsn't 30 the new 18? ;) Have a lovely birthday and an wonderful year!
P
Andy, thank you! Crisp side of life...I like that :-) The thing about Messe de Minuit is that it doesn't seem all that gloomy to me anymore. Now to achieve that great brooding effect I have to layer it with Caron Yatagan :-)
ReplyDeleteDear Helene,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! Centenerian, eh? My great grandma lived to almost 100, so it is not entirely impossible, I guess :-)
Dusan,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I love your choice for books and perfume and I especially love your wish for truckloads of perfumes for me.
*dreams about a truckload of exclusive Guerlains*
Mr. Colombina,
ReplyDeleteYou say the nicests things :-) Thank you.
Elle,
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Skanky fragrant, that sounds perfect :-)
The new format for the blog looks great! And, Happy Happy Birthday! I am looking forward to your review of Dzongka.
ReplyDeleteJudith,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It does say, "Happy Birthday, You Sloppy Old Sock"...no, I am joking, it just says Happy Birthday :-)
March,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I am wondering if you'd like Dzongkha. On the one hand it has those soulful incensey qualities that I think you like, on the other hand, the iris was very prominent, at least on my skin ...
Tom,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! That is the best wish a nut like me could receive :-)
Ina,
ReplyDeleteBol'shoe spasibo! You are right about perfume quantities...from, I think 4-5 bottles 10 years ago, to...um, a little more than that :-)
P,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I am also glad you like the template! As far as I am concerned, 30 is the new 29 and I shall remain 29 for next 20 years. At least. :-D
Kelley,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!!!
Thank you, Patty! ♥
ReplyDeleteChristina,
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! And I am sure that T. would love someone (else) to boss around :-)
So pleased with my Babelfish success that I will try again:
ReplyDeleteС днем рождения, вы намочили старый носок!
Hmmmm, that MAY not have worked right (jk/jk). Let's try again:
С днем рождения, вы красивейшая молодая женщина!
I HOPE that's better. . . :)
Enjoy your wonderful day!!
HAHAHAHA
ReplyDeleteBabelfish is the funniest thing on earth. The first one says, Happy birthday, you have made an old sock wet! ROFL
The 2nd says, Happy Birthday, you, the most beautiful young woman. Now that one sounds just right :-)
I know how you feel about 30- my mother sent me dozens of pink roses and that was the best part. I kept looking around and wondering what was next. The truth is what's to come is so much better than your 20s. Happy Birthday!!
ReplyDeleteBTW- my best friend and I (who have both kicked 30 in the teeth years ago..) both are not big on celebrating our birthdays. No parties, etc. But we did institute something that we do appreciate very much, and you are perfectly welcome to let Mr. Columbina and your family use it:
ReplyDeleteThe Silently-Handed Gift
TSHG's can be something from "the list", and should be given along with the silently served breakfast-in-bed, and the silently poured Mimosa.
Happy Birthday! I can't even remember my 20s, if that is any consolation, although I rather doubt that it is :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!
ReplyDeleteCait,
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I got rose, got cake...now am wondering what's next :-)
Vika,
ReplyDeleteOgromnoe spasibo!!
Tom,
ReplyDeleteGreat tradition. I think that from now on I am going to establish it in this household too.
Robin,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!!!
K,
ReplyDeleteThank you! *cheers!!*
Anna,
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
Happy Birthday, M! I hope you are having a lovely and wonderful day. I was talking with a friend of mine about birthdays, and she says that 30 is a great year. :-) Today is actually my birthday too--I'm officially in my late twenties as of today! :-) Love the new blog look too. Eat some cake for me!
ReplyDeleteDear Anne,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words!! Honestly the comments here were the most wonderful present today! I mean it with all my heart.
Carolyn,
ReplyDeleteAh, don't tease me, you, young 'un! Late twenties...*heavy sigh*
MdeM LAYERED with Yatagan!?!?!
ReplyDeleteOff to try that right now -- lusty AND musty sounds like perfection.
Marina,
ReplyDeleteA very happy birthday month to you. Don't lament over turning 30--I've enjoyed every new year that I've encountered, and I've got about 2 decades on you. With each year, I love the feeling of being more comfortable in your my skin, less pressure to fit in or compromise away to achieve harmony, more enjoyment in who I amand what I do! It truly does get better, and better! I'm sure that you will experience the same. CindyN
30???? That's nothin' - you are just getting started! Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteMarch,
ReplyDeleteYes, layered with Yatagan. So the idea did not scare you? That's my girl!! :-)
Cindy,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your kind words!!
Flora,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!!
Marina:
ReplyDeleteI'm very late to the party - Happy, happy birthday week!
Love the new look, too! To a great year and an even better decade. FWIW - I love my thirties, but still will always feel about 24 inside - and researchers say the internal age is what counts! :)
BBliss
B,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! And that's what I feel too, about 24. :-)
B,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!
I didn't forget your birthday! I remembered on the day but then... you know how it is. Happy belated birthday!
ReplyDeleteSo another child?! I thought you were a one-child person. Or once you had a girl, which you have, you'd be satisfied??
Thank you, Anna!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's why there is "maybe" there. I probably won't do it, but sometimes I remember how it was to hold a sweet little chubster in my hands, and ...:-)
