Miller et Bertaux Ref. 015 813 Bois de Gaiac et Poire

Miller et Bertaux have launched a new perfume, their fourth, Ref. 015 813 Bois de Gaiac et Poire, which apparently also goes by the name Close Your Eyes And... As far as I can tell from the description on their site (click on Les Parfums (suite)), it has notes of Sicilan lemons, Calabrian bergamot, jasmine, Turkish roses, cassia, gaiac wood, pear and heliotrope. It seems to be already available at Lusciouscargo, $100 for 50ml.

    Hi Marina
hmmm.... they say more than 40 components which doesn't sound so bad and the packaging is lovely. You haven't sniffed it, yet? I wonder whether the it holds what the packaging and the website promises.
    Fragrant end of the week

  2. That sounds more like a scent for eyes wide open. Just a bit too fresh sounding for me...but I really should hold off on the grumbling till I've sniffed it and seen what the percentages are.

  4. I was in NY yesterday and asked about it at Barneys ; they never heard of it:) I am hoping it will be in Tak by the sniffa--I really want to try it! I love all their other scents, and bitchyboss (N) on MUA gave it a "thumbs-up" and said that it was a must for rose lovers (calling Christina:)!

  5. Andy,
I haven't tried it yet. I am intrigued, but also a little scared by the presence of pear. Pear? I can't wrap my mind around that. :-)

  6. L,
Yeah, that's how I'd be approaching it. Eyes wide open with caution. Pear! But it does sound interesting and I love their No 1

  7. Patty and March,
It does sound interesting. I just hope it is woody more than anything else.

  8. Judith,
So rose is quite apparent then? Not that there is anythign wrong with that, but I hoped it would be a scent for the lovers of bois rather than rose. :-)

  9. Don't really know. That seemed to be what N. said; but I just saw a post from V. commenting on how nicely woody and spicy it was! All thumbs seem up so far, at any rate:)
