Andy Tauer Annual Advent Calendar: Le Cologne du Maghreb Giveaway.

DETAILS ON THE PRIZE: LE COLOGNE DU MAGHREB, 50 ml, 1.7 FL OZ glass flacon with spray.

From Andy himself,

"This year's highlight for the give-aways: I made an all natural, all botanical Eau de cologne, baptized LE COLOGNE DU MAGHREB, especially for this occasion. I use only natural essential oils, absolutes, and resins in it. It is a classical cologne, with a woody baseline chord, a firework of natural citrus notes, exploding into expensive sparkles, on a background with ambreine and cedarwood from the Moroccan High Atlas.

Like all colognes it is not made to last but it is a fragrant joy, living in the moment, leaving you with the finest veil of woods on your skin.

Ingredients: Citrus essential oils and absolutes (such as lemon, bergamot, clementine, mandarine, grapefruit, orange blossom absolute, neroli oil), rose absolute and oil, cedarwood, ambrein, cistrose and much more.

Initially, I started working on a cologne because I got my hand on a wonderful neroli oil that was so lovely that I could not but create a fragrance around it. And what kind of perfume if not a cologne is the first thing coming to mind when thinking NEROLI….

Thus, the cologne is a little bit an homage to neroli and in a sense, it is a way of looking back to my roots, working all natural. I truly love naturals."

HOW TO ENTER: leave a comment telling us whether you wear colognes, whether it is a seasonal thing or year-round staple for you and what is your favorite representative of a cologne genre. I have yet to smell Cologne Maghreb, so I reserve a right to change my mind, but for now I would say my favorite cologne is Malle's Cologne Bigarade.

The draw will close on Friday, the randomly chosen winner will be announced on Monday.

  1. Am I really the first to arrive? My favourite cologne would be Angeliques sous la Pluie, Ellena/Malle. In summer I used to put it in my freshly washed hair en during the day wafts of the Angeliques would tickle my nose with their sweet call of the moors (were they grow).

  2. I use my 40 year old bottle of 4711 all year when I need a lift, it was my grandmother's.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I am not really a cologne person: I like things with more body, usually. But the Comme des Garçons colognes are nice, and I've been wearing the Bulgari green tea since it was launched. I would be interesting to see what Andy does with the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  4. My favorite is probably a tie between Dior Cologne Blanche and Clarins Eau Dynamisante. I don't wear cologne often, but sometimes when it's really hot outside nothing else will do. Happy holidays!

  5. Good morning, Andy!
I prefer to use colognes when the weather is hot, to feel fresher. Today my favourite is "Cologne" by Tierry Mugler. But I hope to try yours one day! :)

  7. Hi! Sounds wonderful. i am not much of a cologne wearer myself as I tend towards traditional "female' perfumes (but that is changing :p.

I did discover Dior Bois D'Argent, which is lovely though I do have to reapply quite frequently. Which is ok,long as I like it!

I love colognes on hot summer days, and my favorite is Eau de Lalique, by JC Ellena. It's got some interesting herbal twists, like dill. Then I make my own cologne based on the original from Germany, using all naturals. Very cooling! I'd love to try Andy's- his Vetiver Dance is one of my favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I aren't in love with colognes in general.... will wear them infrequently during summer. Maybe Thierry Mugler cologne. To beat the heat I prefer vetivers like encre noir, or woody citruses like New York. Interested in what Andy's done with the genre though!

    ReplyDelete
  38. While I have not tried so many colognes, I do like wearing Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune Eau de Reglisse. I need to explore....am guessing I'd love Andy's if I'm lucky enough to win!!

Cologne Bigarade, hands down, but I also enjoy Jo Malone's White Jasmine and Mint. I find myself reaching for cologne in general more in the warmer months, but the Bigarade calls to me all year around.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Hallo, Andy!
I prefer to use colognes in spring or summer. At the moment my favourites are "Cravache" by R. Piguet for evening/night and Green Water by J. Fath during tha day.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I absolutely love cologne-like scents with something to it: Bigarade Concentree, Eau d'Hadrien, Eau d'Orange Verte, the Aqua Allegorias... cannot get enough of those. Most of all in spring/summer but whenever I want to lift my spirits they are great in colder weather too.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I wear vintage Bois des Îles cologne - fleeting but very beautiful.

    ReplyDelete

  47. I love cologne and my husband and I used to share Czech and Speake's 88. I enjoy Cartier eaude orange but don't know if that is classed as a cologne. The initial smell seems to go quite quickly but the base notes last a good deal of the day and I find myself thinking what is that grat smell and it's me !

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm not normally a cologne wearer but that's probably because I haven't found the right one yet!
I do have a bottle of Mugler Cologne though which I wear on the odd occasion - my three year old son tends to wear this one the most to!
    Thanks for hosting this draw!

    ReplyDelete

  58. Julie Ellen7:55 AM EST

I love cologne, especially on a hot summer day. I got my first bottle of 4711 more than 40 years ago and still love it. Thanks to you and Andy for the Advent giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I wear cologne (perfume) to complete an outfit - it's that final step in getting dressed that finishes off the look. Perfume sets the mood of the day. A black top and jeans is a friday staple, but something crisp and modern for day at the office or sweet and clean for friends or spicy sexy for a date. It helps set a mood..an undercurrent.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Lately I've been wearing Bal a Versailles in the cologne form....but I'd love to try Andy's cologne.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I dont't wear colognes but I'm very curious about an Andy's cologne

    ReplyDelete
  62. I have recently (last 6 months) realized that when done well, I love Colognes. But as my perfume budget is incredibly small (like maybe 1 bottle a year at the moment) I haven't been able to really find a favorite, or get a big bottle so I could start wearing cologne regularly. I think that I would really enjoy wearing it whenever I don't want to think too much about fragrance .. so it would replace my fragrance-free days, and I would also enjoy it at any time when I was unsure of what would be appropriate for the situation, or when I need a pick-me-up. It would be all year round for me, though I might indulge more frequently in warmer weather.
As for ones that I like ... well I know this was a controversial fragrance, but I fell hard and fast for Serge Lutens L'Eau. For me, it was the difference between something done over and over repetitively, and then smelling it done *right*.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Well, it really depends on the mood. Sometimes just need a fresh citrusy aura. Wearing many of them - cologne by Thierry Mugler, all three by Hermes or some selfmade.

    ReplyDelete
  64. On a hot summer day, for me, nothing else will do. They feel fresh and lift my mood so I stop thinking about the sticky heat. Eau de Guerlain is a favorite as are other cologne-ish type scents, i.e., Eau de Rochas, O de Lancome, etc.

And I loooove when I happen upon someone wearing Guerlain's Eau de Cologne Imperiale as it reminds me of my father.

I would love to try yours, Andy!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Fernando8:44 AM EST

I don't wear cologne too often, as it fades away too fast. Sometimes I use some just before going to bed. And in the summer when it's very hot.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  68. I wear cologne mostly with warmer weather as lot of other people do.

My favourite is AdP Colonia, followed by Eau de Gentiane Blanche by Hermes.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  70. i'm not much of a cologne person but i appreciate everything i have tried from Tauer until this point, would love to sample cologne du maghreb.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Can't imagine life without fragrance. I change up several times a day, usually in the winter an incense scent summer, florals and citrus. Seasons Greetings to All!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Like many people on here I use perfume more often than cologne, however in summer I do like Trumper's Ajaccio Violets or Alt Innsbruck which has a really nice spicy tabacco'y sillage. Would live to try Andy's new creation...

    ReplyDelete
  73. I am not generally a cologne person, but I wore Demeter's Dirt last summer when it was too much to put on anything heavier. I would love to try Andy's, since he's kind of a genius.

    ReplyDelete
  74. In general, I don't wear Colognes, but instead prefer perfumes that center on incense, leather, sandalwood and/or vetiver. However, I do on occasion wear Eau Sauvage, which is really the only Cologne I do wear, and of all things strange, I prefer to wear it in the summer while cutting the grass. Beats me why, but I do. I am really excited about Andy's creation and would love to experience his interpretation!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I rarely wear cologne myself, but I enjoy Thierry Mugler Cologne, Eau Sauvage, and Clarins Eau Dynamisante. Would love to try this, I like Andy's way with citrus.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I like very much eau de cologne. 4711 is one of them. Then eau de toilette very fresh would be Azur by Puig. I like discovering these light scents that i enjoy using after a short shower or in summer. 1916 by Myrurgia is one of my favourites too!

    ReplyDelete
  77. My favourite cologne is Chanel's Eau de Cologne. Lasts a little while on me, thankfully.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I wear them (mostly in the winter, strangely). I love Escale a Portofino and the Hermes many colognes (Pamplemousse Rose is great). I'd love to try the Tauer version of a winter cologne!!

    ReplyDelete

My favorite cologne is the Comme des Garcons Vettiveru. I'd love to try Andy's cologne. It has to be awesome for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'm not so familiar with Cologne as a genre, but sometimes wear Knize 10, which is of course a classic. I would be thrilled to get a chance to sniff what Andy makes of it, it does sound gorgeous. Have a nice weekend!

I love cologne in summer. No need to thing, just spray; I love Diptyque l'eau de l'eau, and also am partial to the old Mor Jasmine Tea.

  83. colognes can most certainly be used year-'round, I daresay. It all depends on the scent and the occasion.

Is there ever a time that Acqua di Parma would be unsuitable? Not likely!

    ReplyDelete
  84. I use colognes only before going to bed. For day wear I prefer longer lasting fragrances.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I do like cologne, mostly in summer. The ones I tend to wear most often are L'ea de l'eau, by Diptyque, and Acqua di Colonia by SMN.

    Thanks for hosting this contest!

All year round, for me. I especially like Guerlain Imperiale, and Eau de Guerlian!

    Merry Christmas,

    Carole

    ReplyDelete
  87. Cologne is usually reserved for spring or summer days with the occasional wear in the colder months. Some favorites so far are Guerlain Cologne du 68 and Dior Cologne Blanche. And I'm still hoping to win Andy's of course to add it to the list!

    ReplyDelete
  88. I wear occasionally cologne in the summer. Mostly Guerlains Du Coq and Imperiale. I wish they would last longer... but they are what they are.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love Guerlain's Imperial-preferably vintage.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Olivia A10:35 AM EST

Amazingly, I have not really tried any colognes! (Except maybe the tiny kid-friendly splash bottles I had a small child...) I must remedy this somehow, and hope to try Andy's version! And whatever cologne I try (especially if it's Andy's) I must share with my boyfriend, as well! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  91. During the hot sticky summer months, I really like Clarins Eau Dynamisante. It's quite refreshing. I keep entering all of Andy's give-aways on various blogs, but so far no luck. Keeping fingers crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  92. RobertoC.10:42 AM EST

The Chanel Cologne is pretty good, probably my favorite. It is pricy but is great.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I don't wear cologne. If I had to, my first choice would probably be 4711 by Muelhens.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I wear colognes only in warm weather. My favorite is Monsoon Season.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Hi, I'm a lurking perfume newbie who really loves this blog! I usually only break out of my comment shyness when there is a giveaway like this involved (I'm still in the "must smell everything" stage) :) The only cologne I own (and love) at this point is Bulgari Red Tea - so nice in the summer!

    ReplyDelete
  96. Anonymous10:54 AM EST

I love cologne's and do wear them year round. My favorite - AG Eau d'Hadrien.

    Dagney @ MUA

    ReplyDelete
  98. You Smell!!11:05 AM EST

I really love Hierbas de Ibiza, it is amazingly refreshing but is a cologne and it dissapears really quick, but it is an awesome cologne.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I do wear colognes, but usually in the summer. Sometimes I dab a little on just before a plane ride (very close to my face and very sparingly so that it doesn't affect others). It's nice to have a little freshness during those long hours.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I do love cologne on a hot Texas summer day! My favorite Cologne is Guerlain 68 :)

    ReplyDelete
  101. I do wear cologne, and it is a year round thing for me. My current favorite is Chanel Eau de Cologne - love it!

    ReplyDelete
  102. I do wear colognes year round. It's hard to choose a favorite, but my trusted standby is Bulgari Black. I find the tea note very comforting.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I wear cologne mostly in warmer weather and Guerlain Col. 68 is a big fav!

    ReplyDelete
  104. Guerlain's Cologne du 68 is sublime and works in any weather, love it. And would love to try Andy's!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I very much like Eau de Cologne from Les Exclusifs de Chanel. In the summer of course.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I don't wear a lot of cologne - I prefer something that lasts a bit longer. Maybe I'll try one in the summer when I need a 'lighter' scent

    ReplyDelete
  107. 4711 is a staple of my aunt and whenever I smell it, I think of her

    ReplyDelete
  108. I generally go for heavier, more potent fragrances but in the heat of summer a light, crisp cologne really hits the spot. I love Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune, Jo Malone Lime, Basil & Mandarin, and Mugler's Cologne.

    ReplyDelete
  109. In Summer I often wear Jean Naté eau de cologne. While my taste runs to darker perfumes in Winter, how pleasurable it is then also to accompany the shorter days with the option of enjoying one sparkling eau de cologne in the morning, followed by another later in the day. When I use eau de cologne I am reminded of the ladies and gentlemen who precede us by centuries, whose variety of scents excited themselves as well as those around them. There is magic in finding new aspects of ourselves in a new scent.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I wear them mainly in warm weather - 4711, Thierry Mugler Cologne and L'ARtisan L'eau de L'Artisan are my favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I only wore colognes when I was a little girl, sneaking it away from the dressing tables. So, I think Le Cologne du Maghreb would be a good start for adult life!

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  112. I do wear cologne year-round, but change the style by season. My favorite one is L'air Marocain by Tauer - it smells really good on me.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Eau d'Hermes is probably my favorite scent in the cologne genre.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I use cologne all year when I need a
pick me up. Guerlain imperial and 4711 are the best.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I wear them to refresh myself, whenever that may be. Eau Sauvage is reached for the most often.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Sonia Garcia12:13 PM EST

I don't like colognes that much, I prefer something more long lasting, but if I have to pick a favorite I'll go with the Chanel Cologne.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I really enjoy colognes year-round, though I definitely wear them more in warmer weather, and in the warmest weather, often only colognes will do. My favorite for year-round wearability is Parfums de Nicolai Balle de Match. Chanel Eau de Cologne might be the overall winner, though.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I wear them in summer. If I find one I like enough that may change. Caron's eau de reglisse is interesting because it's like nothing else in my collection, so it gets quite a bit of wear. But 4711 is very refreshing.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Anonymous12:38 PM EST

I do wear colognes, in the summer time! I have a mini of Eau de Guerlain, and a vintage bee bottle of Eau Imperiale---the bright citrus juxtaposed with the civit in the base is a strangely wonderful combo.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I love sheer colognes with warm undertones like Malle's L'Eau d'Hiver. Also, surprisingly, Pacifica's Indian Coconut Nectar has a real cologne-like quality, what with all the vetiver they've thrown in!

And, as an ode to the 90s (and innovative perfumery) I do wear cK One in the summer!

  123. I love Chanel Pour Monsieur. Always in summer, never in winter.
Also I like the difference between that and the Eau de Cologne in the Exclusifs

    ReplyDelete
  124. I'm not a cologne person either, but on a hot summer day nothing is better than Bvlgari Au the Vert

    ReplyDelete
  125. My summer standby is a bottle of 4711, kept in the refrigerator. But for a year round cologne, I'm considering a bottle of Atelier Orange Sanguine.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I do wear cologne, and it is more of a summer thing. I have loved Clarins Eau Dynamisante, but the combination of ingredients in Maghreb sound amazing, every ingredient being my "favorite"! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  127. my summer/fall vetiver fest, heavily featuring andy's dance and some vintage guerlain, is over and i'm back in incense-and-resin land. today i smelled serge noire for the first time. perfect for a cold december day.

  130. Jo Malone - very floral and spicy :)

    ReplyDelete
  131. The only cologne that I own is Pomegranate Noir by Jo Malone... I like its astringent freshness.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Heeley's Sel Marin...all year round.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I've been on eau de cologne -hunt since last summer, and have mostly come across discontinued gems like the Institut Tres Bien -trio and L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger 2007 (although it's not a proper "eau de cologne"). I do prefer them in the warmer months, but for example Cologne a la Francaise works beautifully year round.

  137. whoops! I forgot to say whether I wear colognes, whether it is a seasonal thing or year-round staple for me and what is my favorite representative of a cologne genre.

I do wear colognes all year round and I love Amouge.

The Eaux from Parfum de Nicolai (Eau Exotique, Eau d'Ete) are probably the closest I come to a cologne staple. Great for summer, but not a year-round thing for me.

  139. I wear cologne nearly every day year 'round! Guerlain Imperiale is my go to scent although Chanel Cologne and Frapin L'Humaniste are quite lovely.(and for some reason I'm having trouble logging in to my account. Arr!)

  140. I have never been able to find a cologne that was interesting enough to wear. They're too light become lifeless after no time. The closest thing I have found is Mandragore Pourpre by AG. If anyone can do a cologne I can live with, it's Andy! Please enter me.

  141. It's a perfume especially reserved for special occasions, when one wishes to impress. Le Cologne du Maghreb is very important to me!

    ReplyDelete
  142. At the moment I don't wear colognes, but would like to try.
    Have a nice evening!

    ReplyDelete
  143. I forgot to mention two great favorites: L'Artisan Fleur de Carrotte and Czech & Speake Neroli. The Carrotte should be splashed liberally, but I hoard it.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I don't really know much about colognes, but would like to try one.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I don't have many colognes, but I have to say that I really enjoy the powdery patchouli of Eau de Rochas. It's a refreshing start to just about any day, and the patchouli blends so well with many of my masculines. I would love to give Maghreb a try though!

    ReplyDelete
  146. My traditional one is Eau D'Orange Verte, but I am wearing Chanel Sycamore these days . . .

    ReplyDelete
  147. I like cologne in the summer, when it's hot and sticky. My favorites these days are Mugler and Bulgari Thé Vert...but I love everything Andy makes, so I have high hopes for Maghreb!!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I liked Institut Tres Bien, while it lasted. Now, Eau de Guerlain.

  149. Hi Marina,

Thanks for the draw. I love colognes and yes, I mostly wear them in warmer weather.

I have a LONG list of loves, but I especially enjoy Diptyque L'Eau de Tarocco and L'Eau de l'Artisan.

  150. I wear cologne mostly in the summer; I generally use an old bottle of 4711 when I do.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I use colognes year-round-- I find a fresh citrus-floral works equally well to break up the doldrums of winter as it does to bring relief in the heat of summer. My most-used cologne is Murray & Lanman's Florida Water (Agua de Florida). This fragrance (the oldest continuously produced cologne in North America, dating from the early 1800's) adds a spicy dose of cinnamon, clove, and bay to the basic eau de cologne. I love it.

I wear colognes all year long, on the days when I'm undecided what perfume to wear. I love Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat, Guerlain, I also used La Prairie Cellular Energizing Spray, which is sort of cologne as well.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I do love 4711 and Clubman Cologne.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Eau de Guerlain and 4711 - love these two.

    ReplyDelete
  155. The Bigarade is lovely, although I prefer the Concentree myself... And if I could afford it, I'd spring for a big honking bottle of Chanel Cologne for those sticky summer days (they seem so far away this chilly day!).

    ReplyDelete
  156. I love to wear colognes, especially in summer, but the East of Spain, where I live, is a zone which has many warm months and colognes are enjoyable even in some winter days.
My favourite one is the Spanish classic Álvarez Gómez Colonia Concentrada, which now is starting to be known in the rest of the world.

  157. I have a pretty little glass parfum bottle given to me by my mother and I am not sure what the parfume is but I think it is chanel. My favorite parfume is a floral oriental.
My special parfum I will never forget is Flambeau that was done by Faberge in the 60s. They do not make this any longer. :(

Cologne is whenever one needs a pick-me-up or a cool-down !! Eau de Guerlain or Hadrien, please. But we know Andy`s will give all others a royal run for the roses - and he will win!! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  159. I have yet to use a real cologne but all the ones I've read about sound so interesting! Definitely sounds like a summer choice for me though - probably cooled in the fridge first. :-)

  160. Year round, love florientals on women!

    ReplyDelete
  161. I really love Acqua di Genova, especially on warm days. Other than that, bring on the heavy duty EDPs!

    ReplyDelete
  162. I actually don't use cologne's as of yet. I figure that when I do, it'll be in the hot humid heat of summer. My Jardin sur le nil reminds me of a cologne though, on me it's very light and refreshing. I hope to gather some more like this for summertime.

  163. I enjoy Acqua Di Parma Colonia. The spinoffs are pretty decent also, but not as good as the original.

I wear fragrance everyday. I wont even leave my house without some type of fragrance, and I keep samples in my purse. My favorite type of fragrance will have to be floral...I love FM Carnal Flower. That is a good representative of my favorite smell. Chypre's are nice too!

  165. I wear cologne all the time because I live in a very warm climate. Too many to list...

  166. Millicent8:51 PM EST

I'm not much of a cologne-wearer, but among the lighter scents, I enjoy Angeliques Sous La Pluie. Philosykos is my other standard when I want something cooling.

Citrus and woods? Yummy! I generally prefer longer-lasting, low-sillage scents, so I haven't gotten much experience with colognes.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Count me among those who generally prefer cologne in warmer weather. However, a new favorite that works for me year-round is Francis Kurkdjian's cuddly "Cologne pour le Soir." I know cologne usually means citrus, though, and I would love to try Andy's " Le Cologne du Maghreb." It sounds wonderful!

I've tried so many and haven't found one i love, but, i do like 4711, and Goutal's Duel sometimes. Otherwise, I go without perfume mostly in summer...but, it's great to read what other's like - I have to make a list! But, hopefully, it will be du Maghreb that I will have next summer!!! Thank you! 171. I love colognes in general, but my favorite is Creed Windsor. I wore it a lot last holiday season, and am craving it nearly every day since Thanksgiving. It is one of the only colognes I know that is more appropriate, imo, for winter than summer.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I'm pretty much a cologne-in-summer kinda gal; tons of 4711 and gasp! Jean Nate in the dog days of summer - also, Marc Jacobs Lemon is a great refresher! Somehow the need just isn't there in freezing temps!

    xo

  173. My favorite cologne would probably be Bigarade Concentree although I also love Eau de Lalique.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I wear them all year round as they are fresh and uplifting! My current favourites are Blossom Eau de Cologne by Roxana of Illuminated Perfume and Zagara by S Maria Novella.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I quite like Atelier Gran Neroli, though I feel its a little more masculine than I would like.

I wear colognes year around...i must say, my current favorites are FM Angeliques and many of the Dior. I wear what i am in the mood for and if that means wearing a cologne in the winter...so'll be it.

  183. I've never worn cologne before, but I've ready a lot of entries lately on perfume blogs about some classics and it's caused quite an itch to try some - and I'd love Andy's to be one of my firsts! :) I would think cologne would be good any time of the year. Definitely in Spring/Summer, but year-round works too, any time you want a lighter burst of scent (especially of the citrus variety!).

  185. My favorite colognes are: Thierry Mugler 's Cologne, Dior's (now sadly discontinued) Cologne Blanche, Diptyque's L'Eau de Tarocco, and Gaultier's Monsieur Eau du Matin. And I'd love to try Tauer's!

the beauty of cologne.....acqua di parma, eau de cartier, chanel les exclusifs eau de c., patricia de nicolai's, and (far from being a simple creature) Eau d'Hermes. Mugler's cologne in the real heat.I almost forgot to mention L'eau d'hiver, that ,abeit not a cologne, gives an echo of the genre.
But Andy's rendition puzzles me. I'm ready to wear it, unsniffe, as anything done and 'performed' by him.

  188. I wear 4711 and Clarins Eau Dynamisante in the summer (usually the only time I wear cologne) - Unfortunately colognes tend to fade so quickly on me (though Andy's may have more staying power)

  190. I love colognes usually in the summer but sometimes will also do it in the winter when I need a lift. Cologne means neroli to me and some of the best would be Eau Savage and 4711 =)

  191. I like to wear cologne all year round as it is is completely suitable for southern Califonia. My favorite is either Guerlain's Cologne du Parfumeur or Atelier Cologne's Trefle Pur.

My favorite cologne is L'Eau D'Duo. It's a minimalist, all weather blend of pettigrain, rose and oud. Although I generally think of colognes as being inappropriate for women, the heavy dose of rose makes me feel comfortable spritzing this scent whenever I need a lift.
No need to enter me in the giveaway, but I look forward to hearing more about Le Cologne du Maghreb.
