Cast your vote and win a prize!

I am swamped with stuff, so no post tomorrow. I will review something on Friday, probably something by Rich Hippie...As for the next week, how about you decide what I should write about? Here are the choices:

1. It's All About Vetiver (Again) - 4 reviews of vetiver scents (MPG Parfum d'Habit, Parfums de Nicolai Vetiver, etc)
2. It's All About Unjustly Overlooked Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier - 4 reviews of MPG scents (Fleur d'Iris, Soir d'Orient, etc.)
3. It's All About Dior (Diorling & Diorama, Dioressence, Diorissimo, Miss Dior)
4. It's All About Iris - 4 reviews of iris fragrances (L'Artisan Orchidee Blanche, Le Labo Iris, Lutens Iris Silver Mist, etc.)
5. Something else (what would you like to see reviewed?)?

The Friday of the next week is already booked for a fun little project, but please help me decide on the other 4 days! For helping me to plan the posts fo the next week, one of you can win a prize. To be included in the draw, just vote for one of the above options and let me know that you DO want to be included. The winner will have a choice (it's all about the choices today) of 4 decants from my collection. You can choose a decant of Parfumerie Generale Aomassai or Parfumerie Generale Iris Taizo or Yves Saint Laurent "Y" (vintage EDT) or S-Perfume 100% Love More. Alternatively, you might opt for receiving instead the samples of all the above fragrances. Please don't hesitate to sign up for the draw if you do not reside in the US. I can ship anywhere.

Cast your vote now! I will stop accepting the votes on Saturday morning when I will announce the winner (the name will be randomly drawn by my little daughter).

Was Iris Taizo your favorite of the new PGs?

My vote is always with the underdog (it balances out my husband's constant solid favourite cheering - he's usually right but not very likeable!) Unjustly overlooked MP et G for me (and particularly Soir D'Orient...)

Tigs,
Vote noted, thank you! (and I am with you in rooting for underdog in general and this one in particular)

Ooooh, I'm votin' for "All About Dior." Mostly because I find reading other people's perceptions of Miss Dior (the erstwhile phonetical Misty Whore) to fascinating. Shoot, or the MPG. Gah! I dunno. My vote is for Dior, yeah. And I so want to be in on the drawing, heh. You picked some wonderful prizes there, M.

Wow, this is tough. Hmm. HMMM. OK. How about... how about... hmm... the Diors? Oh, and I don't need to be included in the draw since you've already gifted me with those decants oh so generously. :)

I vote for MPG as well - love this house and feel it's often overlooked.

Katie,
So, 3 votes so far and each for a different option...If in the end I have a tie, I am going to ask my baby to draw not just the name of the winner (btw, your name is included in the draw), but of the next week's plan too :-)

Hi Marina,

Personally, I would love to see a review of various linden fragrances - I've been craving its salty floral goodness lately. Out of the options you listed, my vote is for iris.

Please include me in the drawing:)

Amy,
Aw, I am not an expert on linden...I am not sure I even own any linden scents apart from Guerlain Aromaparfum Apasisant.

Your vote for iris is noted and your name is included, thank you!

I vote for something different...how about spices, musks, woods, or incense? More precisely, scents from these categories that are appropriate for summer X) A girl can always hope...

Oh yes, and do include me in the drawing! is it ok that I don't have a blogger account? my email is jcaccavo =)

Josey,
I did a post literally a day or so ago about summer incense, spice, leather scents (My Favorite Summer Scents. Part 2). Is that similar to what you had in mind?

Your name is entered in the draw!

Definitely 4 Iris posts! I am constantly searching for something similar to SL Iris Silver Mist.
Please include me in the draw!

Hmm, I go for Vetiver again, only because it includes a mention of one of my favourite houses, Nicolai! And PG has gotten a fair bit of coverage lately, hence no vote for the Iris thread... on a completely different track, how about reviews of scented candles from some of the more interesting makers like Nicolai, or Ormonde Jayne or Diptyque? Just a thought! Love to be in the draw!
Sante.

Oh dear, the offer of decants of Iris Taizo or 100% Love More was too much of an enticement for this lurker. Please include me in the draw!

M,
my vote goes to "It's all about Iris". I know you've been wearing Orchidee Blanche a lot lately so it would be very interesting to read a review on that one. I'm also interested in other iris fragrances you mentioned.
and, of course, I would like to be a part of your fun little game. fingers crossed ;)!

I'm as bad as voting for this as I am w/ choosing my fav perfumes. I'm going to have to go w/ the much (unfairly) maligned MPGs. Have my chin up, ready to take on all naysayers, but many are really quite excellent - especially in the unisex/men's line. If you hadn't included my favorite black sheep child I'd have gone for the Diors (must know more about Diorling!) and Iris...they'd have been in a tight tie.

I would say that Iris Taizo + Jardins de Kerylos are tied as my favorites.. I remember really liking Harmatan Noir as well..

Oooooh! Dior! I have such a love/hate relationship with their classics, I would really be interested in your reaction, esp. since Diorella turned out to be such a hit. Cuz, hon, that thang is oddball.

Well, if the MPGs are out of the running, I change my vote to Dior! Nothing against vetiver or iris; it's just that there have been a lot of reviews of scents containing them recently:) I guess that's because they're good. Oh, well--I predict Iris will win!

3:10 PM EDT

March,
The vote noted, thank you...Dior is catching up with iris!

Do you find Le Parfum de Therese:
a)in a way similar to Diorella
b)an oddball too?

Hi Marina,
I'd vote for Dior, because I've been stocking up on vintage Diorling and Miss Dior and would love to read your take on them. Still haven't managed to snag the elusive and frightfully expensive Diorama on eBay though...

Please count me in the draw!

I vote for "other"...I'd love to see a couple reviews on scents inspired by the weather, particularly rain. The heat is really beating down on us, and there's nothing I love more than a summer rainstorm and the feeling that goes with it. I'm not sure if many perfumes come to mind for you, but if some do I'd love to discover them be it tropical, woodsy or snuggle-inside-cozy, clean-fresh...

Otherwise I'd have to resort to emailing you for recommendations :)
