Parfumerie Generale Private Collection scents and Tubereuse Couture at Luckyscent
Four scents from Parfumerie Generale's Private Collection, Bois de Copaiba, Cedre Sandaraque, Corps et Ames, and Querelle, as well as Tubereuse Couture, are now available at Luckyscent, $80.00-$90.00 for 50ml. Incidentally, last week I prepared a long, long review of Querelle, but have gotten excited by The Chanels and did not have a chance to post it. It is coming on Monday. |

Ooooh..now I'll be looking forward to Monday. I tried Querelle a couple of days ago and I'm a little ambivalent. It will be good to see what what someone who knows something thinks!
Gail,
Someone who knows something is not a description that applicable to me, sadly :-D I believe that I know exactly nothing, but that doesn't prevent me from rambling on and on :-)
I love Querelle. I think it's the "metallic" feel that does it for me. I know it's not as much a favorite of yours--curious to see the review.
J,
Oh...haven't I liked it the beginning? :-) I cant remember now, but these days I am very much in love with it. Don't get metallic though, which...after sniffing super-metallic Secretions Magnifique *shudder*...I can only be thankful for.
I got samples of these on Sunday. Well, all except the tuberose, they mentioned "you don't really like tuberose, do you?"
It would have been churlish to squeal "no, but I still want the free sample, dammit!" ;-)
Oh--actually, you probably have liked it from the beginning; it's just that you were so over the moon about BdC that I forgot. Querelle is definitely my favorite of the PGPCs (but BdC comes out too sweet on me)--and the one I happily bought a full bottle of. I also tried the haute concentration; have you? Will save more comments for Monday, but I didn't mean metallic in an SM way; glad you got to try that, though (isn't it just stomach-turning???!!!)
Tom,
Well, what if this is THE tuberose for you? Besides, don't they know that you need samples to write reviews? Tsk tsk.
Judith,
I don't think I did try the haute concentration, I know that it is available on their site, you just have to crack the code and figure out which one it is, since the private scents are coded with numbers :-) I know that anything that starts with 2 is Bois de Copaiba, so 233 is 3.3oz bottle of it, etc. What the number of Querelle I don't know:-)
Secretions is the most hideous scent I have ever encountered. Human Existence seems positively inoffensive in comparison.
Here is part of an email I recieved from them re: Querelle.
Querelle (12%) 1.7 floz = Création Privée N°417 = 75 euros Querelle (12%) 3.3 floz = Création Privée N°433 = 120 euros Querelle Haute Concentration (22%) 3.3 floz (only avaiable in 3.3) = Création Privée N°220 = 145 euros.
I had received a small sample of the HC with my discovery set (they guessed my tastes, perfectly)! It was could, but I couldn't decide that if it was worth the money (and I didn't want 3.3) so I went with the reg. in 1.7 (DH, somewhat strangely, found the 12% "stronger" than the 22%. The regular one is also availble at The Perfume Shoppe for somewhat less money (esp. after currency conversion).
Last post was supposed to say "it was good." Blogger is driving me crazy, so I am not checking my posts as carefully as I should.
Thank you, J!
And I was wondering what 220 was, 2oz of BdeC? haha Now I understand, 22%, aha!
