I haven't tried the fragrance, but I've had the shower gel for some time. I love it, especially in the summer. The shower gel is predominatly pepper. The scent lingers on the skin, layering well with other fragrances, giving them a nice jolt.

I just sampled Black Pepper today. If you like the shower gel, you'll be happy to know it smells exactly like it.

Marina,

I've been a fan of the body wash for years and when the fragrance came out a few months ago, I was excited. It wasn't as nice as I had hoped, but it wasn't FBW to me. If you're ever in King of Prussia - they have samples of the scent and the wash.

Best,
Mark

markdavid,
Thank you for the iformation! I probably should just get the shower gel, it seems to get better feedback than the EDT.

I tried the fragrance today and it turned quite aquatic on me for some reason, despite an aromatic and promising beginning. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.

Ugh, aquatic :-( I don't like that kind of thing either.

Would agree with Mark David, the scent isn't quite as interesting as it sounds.

Just to add my two penny worth - have not tried the fragrance but the shower gel is lovely. I think they also do a soap bar which is very moisturising. Love that too. In fact I drive my local MB SAs mad by refusing to look at the feminine lines and heading straight for Black Pepper when they ask if I've tried the latest rose granita or whatever. Oh and the BP candle is fab too! Have I helped the lemming along a bit? Do hope so after all your lemming inducing reviews Marina!

Nicola,
Tsk tsk. I was just starting to forget about this one. The lemming has been re-born. :-)

I use the shower gel often and love the scent that lingers. I was hoping that the fragrance would match the warm, peppery and woodsy scent that lingers after using the shower gel but I was wrong.

The bottle I received was strong on the cumin top notes, which wasn't necessarily bad, but then the entire scent just disappeared after an hour. I was disappointed. The scent has no staying power at all. I returned it for Jo Malone's Sweet Lime and Cedar.
