New from Parfumerie Generale: Felanilla and Drama Nuui

In October, Parfumerie Generale will launch two new creations: PG21 FELANILLA and PG23 DRAMA NUUÏ.

FELANILLA is describes as "an oriental scent softly spiced based on Saffron, Absolute of Tahitian Vanilla, Absolute of Italian Iris, Absolute of Hay, Banana Wood and Amber."

DRAMA NUUÏ is "a contemporary "Bitter Jasminade" based on Absinthe, Woods and Spices..."

PG21 & PG23 will arrive at PG's partners and retailers on October 21/23, and at the end of September they will be available at PG online boutique.

Meanwhile, the following are reviews of some of our favorite Parfumerie Generale fragrances so far:

    L'Ombre Fauve

    Querelle

    Bois de Copaiba

    Psychotrope

    Tubereuse Couture

    Musc Maori

Banana wood? I can't say I recall banana trunks having much of a smell. But, I must say that w/ the saffron and hay notes, I'm seriously interested in Felanilla. And what a name! :-) I'm also extremely hopeful about the Drama Nuui. Can't wait!

    L,
I am thinking that vanilla + iris _ hay should be fluffy and delicious :-)

Ohhh, Felanilla might be an unsniffed purchase for me. Sounds absolutely marvelous. Yum, hay. Yum, iris. Yum, vanilla. Yum, saffron. Heh.

Well, for reasons no longer even relevant, 23 has always been my "favorite" number, or number of interest. I sent my husband to work today wearing Fou d'Absinth, so the absinth and bitter notes mentioned in 23 have me very interested. And I love the name...I think...Drama Nuui. What does Nuui mean? My brain immediately substituted Nuit. Maybe it's just that handsome PG perfumer that's making me want to think it's Nuit.

I know what you mean re: nuit and handsome :-) Well, google gives some Native American references.

I NEED fluffy and delicious!! I love PG scents, I don't want to buy them all but every one I've smelled smells interesting. He's pretty dang cute too;-) He must have other perfumers working on these, no? He has put out so many so soon. Or maybe he's hot AND incredibly brilliant! I wish he would make Musc Maori in a lickable body cream... my husband would be so lucky!

And tsk tsk to LT-TS for not reviewing a one of them!

New PG? Okay, the name is not making me happy ("Felanilla, what a killah, he's a wonderful guy..."...okay, it's late, I'm goofy). BUT...I know it could be a disaster, but is that really likely with PG? Iris, wood, hay, amber? I'm in.

Who knew? I wore Bois Blond today, and also really enjoy L'Ombre Fauve. Mmmm, Parfumerie Generale.

These sound DIVINE but I have to laugh - there is NO such thing as Banana Wood, it's not a tree, just a very large herbaceous plant. I wonder if it is related to Michael Kors' "waterfall accord" in the Island Hawaii perfume? :-D
