Guerlain Rouge Automatique: Lipstick named for a Fragrance
According to WWD, in April Guerlain is launching Rouge Automatique, a 25-shade lipstick line taking an inspiration from a 1936 Guerlain product of the same name. Each shade will be name for a Guerlain fragrance, "past, present or future, since the cmpany has 600 registered fragrance names". Shades will range from beiges and reds to corals, oranges and pinks. I am hoping for a pale lilacy sort of pink Apres l'Ondee and a sinister sort of red for Djedi. What about you? Edited to add that, according to allglam.com, some of the shades are: Rouge D’Enfer Mitsouko Cherry Blossom Violette de Madame Ne m’oubliez pas Bloom of rose Chant d’aromes Jicky Guet-Apens L’heure bleue Vol de Nuit Chamade Apres l’ondee (bingo! but what shade is it?) Nahema Fleur de feu Quand vient l’ete |

Ooh! Which one will be the showstopper red? Nahema? Or should Mitsouko get that, by rights? Jicky kind of has to be purple.
I don't see purples there, sadly...:(
Cherry Blossom- the palest, most delicate shade of bluetoned pink
Rouge D'Enfer- Flaming orange-y red
l'heure Bleue- a very dark, brownish shade of purple red, like a scab
Quant Vient la pluie- medium shade of bright, pinkish red
Mitsuoko- a little bit dark cherry red
I'd love to smell Ne m'oubliez pas- I think I'd have to choose a sheer but bright red to connote wistful longing.
Great suggestions! I especially like the scabby L'HB :)
How fun! I would hope for a pretty, springlike peony-pink for Chant d' Aromes and of course a really dazzling color for Nahema, perhaps a bronzy red-gold.
Both totally make sense to me too!
Mmmm, wanting a gorgeous deep dark red for Vol de Nuit, please, leaning to brick rather than mulberry.
