More on Rousse by Serge Lutens

"A thin strap of wood between the bark of the tree and the trunk, cinnamon diffuses a powerful and soft scent, refined, exhilarating. Serge Lutens turned it into perfume, the one that tells us about the essence of wood, about the unique flavor of the bark.

With its halo of precious wood and spices, Rousse is a skin scent that moves away from the regressive cinnamon "à gâteaux" to join the world of great perfumes. To feel more than to smell. Available from February 15, 2007."

Rousse is an Eau de Parfum and will retail for €75.00 for 50ml.

I'm more scared of paying the better part of $50 for a 5ml decant on eBay.

I think they should send us these for review, like books.

My, I am getting full of myself, aren't I?

Tom,
They totally should. :-)
I am just going to patiently wait till Rousse lands in the US. Yes, I am, yes, I am, yes, I am :-)

Gris Clair. Leopoldo sent me a sample and I got Gris Clair, more or less.

Still sulking. I have just enough to try it maybe one more time.

March,
You are killing my lemming. NOT that I don't think Gris Clair is great. But I don't want Rousse to be like Gris Clair. *whines*

I love your blog, it is one of my must reads every day. I like it also when your husband Tom does his take on fragrances, he's very funny, and sometimes while at work I forget that I'm there (a good thing) and laugh out loud!! Thanks so much for the fine work you do, you both are so talented, and I have had many lemmings and bought a lot of them because of your blog, another great thing!!! Belated Happy New Year to both of you.

Dear Patricia,
Thank you so much for your very kind words!! I must clarify though that there is Tom and there is Paul. Paul is also known as Mr. Colombina, and is my husband. Both are wonderful and funny, and I am so lucky to have them writing for my blog.
