Nez a Nez is taking over the world...

According to CosmeticNews.com, Nez à Nez will launch this September in the US, in department stores like Barneys, Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdales. It will also be introduced in Spain in July, and Russia and Ukraine in September. The brand currently sells in France and in Italy. "Christa Patout and Stéphane Humbert opened a store and showroom in 2005 in Paris where they started selling fragrances composed by perfumer Karine Chevallier." The collection includes 10 Eaux de Parfum, which cost from €79 to €89: Ambre à Sade, Atelier d’Artiste, Bal Musqué, Bouche Baie, Figues et Garçons, Forêt de Bécharré, Marron Chic, Mille et une Figues, Rosier Ardent and Vanithé. In 2006, the brand allegedly generated sales of around €250,000, and the turnover is expected to reach €650,000 this year. Nez à Nez will launch two new scents: L’Hêtre Rêvé in September 2007, Presqu’il in 2008, and a two-fragrance kit (2x30ml for €64). You have been warned.

Let me put this delicately: aren't those the really putrid, sucky ones that are sweeter than donuts dunked in Kool-Aid (and about as appealing?)

Or is that the other Nez? I can't remember...

March,
Yep, you description is correct :-) The other Nez is Les Nez and it's a whole different kind of Nez :-)

J,
I find it hard to believe too. But then sweet scents like Pink Sugar, etc *are* popular.

They'll probably sell like hotcakes :-)

R,
Scary thought. I don't want to be stuck in a closed space with a crown of people smelling of Bouche Baie. :-)

Well, Figues et Garcons was pleasantly figgy, though not as artful as Philosykos or such. The Marrons one was appropriately chestnutty. But I really need to know an antidote if people are going to go around smelling like Ambre a Sade or Bouche Baie.... Maybe we need to start carrying lightly scented hankies with which to cover our noses, just in case? --Ellen

Ellen,
Lightly scented wouldn't help. I am thinking- hankies liberally spritzed with...MKK or Bandit or something like that :-)

I am going to start carrying Bandit and/or MKK and spritzing people with it. Like the lady in the elevator last week, when it was 90 degrees, drenched in DK Gold.
